The croatian mezzo-soprano Diana Haller started her voice studies with Prof. Margareta Togunjac in her home town Rijeka, and continued her academic studies at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica "Giuseppe Tartini" in Trieste (Italy) in the class of Prof. Gloria Scalchi. She finished her Bachelor studies achieving the highest mark and praise under the leadership of Prof. Cinzia de Mola. Immediately after Diana was admitted to the Master of Arts degree at the Royal Academy of Music (London) in the class of Prof. Anne Howells and graduated with distinction (DipRAM) in only one year. After her UK studies Diana continued her postgraduate studies at the University of Music in Stuttgart, in the Solistenklasse Opernschule and Master Liedklasse with Prof. Dunja Vejzović. Since graduating she has continued to study privately with Prof. Brigitte Fassbaender.
During the season 2009/10, Diana Haller, was a member of the opera studio at the State Opera Stuttgart and since 2010/11 she became the youngest member of the soloist ensemble, with subsequent roles such as Rosina in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Dorabella in Mozart's Così fan tutte, Prinz Orlowsky in Die Fledermaus, Rossini's Cenerentola, Ruggiero in Händel's Alcina, among others. She also appeared as Ruggiero in Händel's Alcina at the Opera Köln and the Semperoper Dresden, and as Rosina in Rossini´s Il barbiere di Siviglia at the National Opera Zagreb, as well as at the Oper Graz. In 2014, Diana covered Rosina in Rossini´s Il barbiere di Siviglia and the title role in Rossini´s Cenerentola at the Metropolitan Opera New York. In the summer of 2014, Diana made her debut at the Salzburger Festspiele as Ines in Verdi´s Trovatore alongside Anna Netrebko and Placido Domingo, and returned with the same role in the summer of 2015. In summer 2014, she has also sang Cenerentola in the production for children and jumped in for the recital of the ill Elina Garanca at the Salzburger Festspiele with songs by Hugo Wolf. In 2015 she made her debut as Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in Osor-Croatia and was Cenerentola at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in München. Later on she made her debut as Giulio Cesare in Händel's opera Giulio Cesare in Egitto in Croatia and Slovenia, as Enrichetta in Bellini's I Puritani both in Stuttgart and Zürich, and as the title role in Händel's opera Ariodante in Stuttgart.
In 2011 she recorded a Bach/Handel CD with Concerto Köln and the Bayerisches Rundfunk, and the Croatian National Radio will release her first CD album (Robert Schumann and Hugo Wolf songs).
In 2011, at the Handel London Festival, she performed the title role in Hasse's Siroe, Re di Persia, and at the Rossini Bad Wildbad Festival 2011, she sang the role of Alberto in Balducci's Il noce di Benevento, for which she was given the prestigious International Belcanto Award. In October 2012, Diana won the first prize at the 8th International Song Competition Hugo Wolf in Stuttgart. In October 2013, she was awarded "Young Singer of the Year 2013" - by the German magazine Opernwelt, and the prize "Ivo Vuljevic 2013" for outstanding musical achievement, as well as the prize from the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra "Best young musician of the year 2013".
She toured twice with M° Philippe Herreweghe performing Mozart's Great c-minor Mass KV 427 and Mozart´s Requiem in Italy, France and Scottland. Further concert activity included Dvorak´s Requiem in Köln, Mozart's Requiem at the Dubrovnik Festival, Rossini's Stabat Mater in Köln, Dortmund and Stuttgart; a tour with NDR Orchestra in Hannover, Hamburg and Frankfurt, Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde at the Heidelberger Frühling festival and in Stuttgart, Händel´s Dixit Dominus with the Croatian Radio Orchetra in Zagreb, a Rossini Gala with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Bernstein and Mahler in Ulm, Rossini´s Petite Messe Solennelle at the Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and in Germany, Mozart's Great c-minor Mass KV 427 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and in Leipzig's Gewandhaus and Magdeburg with the MDR Orchestra, a Solistic Gala with orchestra at the Dubrovnik Festival, etc. Active as a recitalist, she gave song recitals in Germany, Croatia, Italy, Mexico, Austria.
